The Elmont Opry, a mainstay in local country and gospel music, continues it's legacy of providing the best in country entertainment to fans from around Northeast Kansas. From it's beginning in 1971 until today, the country music show offers great music, humor and fellowship in a family friendly setting.

The opry has been blessed to attract top quality performers like Judy Coder and Pride of the Prairie, The Shyster Mountain Gang, Sons of the Konza Prairie and Paul Root, Nashville Star contestant. Special guests like Chance Thompson, Larry Dimmitt, Francis Stockton and Jerry Haag bring their own crowd pleasing sounds to the stage.

With a gifted opry stage band featuring well-loved local musicians like Charlie Heavin, Roger Shafstall, Woody Parker and Al McVay, audiences are treated to a variety of sounds, rhythms and vocals. Add long time members of the Elmont Church and special guests along the way.,..and you just can't beat the country sound that streams from every corner of fellowship hall during a show.
Alan Lawton(music director) and Jim Coder (Master of ceremonies) keep the show moving along, and provide humor and banter that keeps the audience lively and laughing.
Everyone will recognize the names Ray and Verna Jackson, and Marie Wright, who have been members of the opry since it's beginning. Newer members of the opry include Pastor Les Bartlett and daugther Karen who have added their fine voices to the opry lineup, as well as Janet Mercer, and Sandy Gates and Sharon Breen, an opry duet.
